If I declare Boo – Energetic Child as challenging Piglet – Hunny Mage Apprentice with 2 #, how is it possible that no damage is dealt in the challenge?
There are two parts to the challenge turn action: challenge declaration and challenge damage. In the declaration step, the player chooses one of their characters to challenge another character or a location. When that process is complete, Boo’s Kid-Tastrophe! ability triggers. That’s when it’s added to the bag and resolves, banishing Piglet before any damage is dealt to him.
