If I play Piercing Attack and choose Omnidroid – Ultimate Iteration, which has Resist +2, what happens?
First, start with the base damage of the action, which is 2 damage. Then, apply modifiers to that damage. Resist +2 would normally apply here and reduce the damage to 0. However, Piercing Attack says its damage can’t be reduced by Resist, so Omnidroid’s Resist +2 doesn’t apply. The final total damage dealt by Piercing Attack is 2, and 2 damage counters are then placed on Omnidroid.
